Headsets
Colsan can offer the Headset design companies a range of high performance Transducers from Sonion and integrated circuits from Gennum Corporation. These components can provide ANR and enhance Hearing protection for military and commercial use in harsh environments where un-interruptable wireless/fixed communication is important.

Engineers at Colsan are working with the leading Headset companies providing technical support, design consultancy and sub-contract manufacturing.
Our customers supply Headsets to the military for secure communications in battlefield environments requiring a high demand of waterproof protection and full operability.

We also provide a "value-added" service to customers requiring sub-assembly work to integrate into their system. We can prep transducers, attach wires and fit ear-mold ready for use.
Microphone used for ANR Active Noise Reduction is located in the earshell and detects the localised noise Sound Pressure Level.
The output from the microphone is fed to an electronic circuit which processes the gain and phase characteristics of the noise signal and produces an anti phase version of the noise (anti-noise).
The anti noise is radiated out of a transducer (Receiver) also located inside the earshell and in close proximity to the monitoring microphone. The radiated anti noise mixes with the original noise signal causing localised cancellation of the sound pressure.
Receiver or Earphone used as an integral device in acheiving ANR and sound to the Headset outlet port.
8002 Cylindrical microphone, ideal for boom mounting with flat frequency response.
